Abstract

A composition for repairing basic refractory furnace linings comprises fine and coarse grained magnesia and/or dolomite and sufficient refined petroleum oil to bind the fine grained material. 70-85% of the granular material may have a particle size of 1-5 mm. and 15-30% thereof may have a particle size of less than 2 mm. 0.1-2% of oil may be employed.
