960,064. Twist-tubes. VEREINIGTE GLANZSTOFF-FABRIKEN A.G. March 20,1961 [March 25, 1960], No. 10101/61. Heading D1D. A device for false-twisting filaments comprises a rotatable tube 8 normally supported by discs 4, 5; 6, 7 and 10 engaging grooves therein. The discs are carried by rollers 2, 3 and 9 one or two of which is/are driven directly by a belt 1 and transmit(s) such drive through the discs to the tube 8. The complete device or one or two rollers may be swung out of driving engagement with the belt, and the displacement of one of the rollers may be sufficient to enable the tube to be removed from the device: the tube may be secured, as by hooks or electromagnetic means (not shown).
