Abstract

959,796. Transistor sawtooth oscillators. PYE Ltd. Feb. 1, 1962 [Feb. 1, 1961], No. 3894/61. Heading H3T. A sawtooth generator comprises a transistor T1 connected as a blocking oscillator, the frequency of which is determined by capacitor C1 and transistor T2, the oscillator output being fed to a buffer amplifier T3, feedback being provided from the output circuit of T3 to T2. The linearity of the output sawtooth waveform may be adjusted by potentiometer R6 and may be over-corrected to suit the geometry of a cathode-ray tube when the invention is applied to a line time base in a television receiver. The frequency may be adjusted by variation of resistor R4. Specification 921,221 is referred to.
