958,577. Shaft couplings. B.R.D. CO. Ltd. April 25, 1961 [April 9, 1960], No. 12704/60. Heading F2U. A resilient coupling comprises sponge or foam rubber strips 15 interposed between ribs 11 of an inner member 10 and limbs 14 of a star-section tube 13. The inner member 10 is integral with a yoke of a Hooke's joint, and the tube 13 is welded to a hollow transmission shaft 16 having another Hooke's joint at its other end. Bearing strips 20 are provided between the ends of the ribs 11 and the bottom of the limbs.
