Abstract
958,531. Punching. M. B. SKINNER CO. June 29, 1961, No. 23535/61. Addition to 910,397. Heading B3W. The perforating tool disclosed in the parent Specification is modified in that the reduced cylindrical end 26 has a bore 30 therein, the depth of which is preferably greater than the thickness of the wall to be perforated, and the diameter of which is preferably greater than the radius of the part 26. The tool is guided during the perforating operation by four lugs 15 which project from the internal surface of the body 14 of the device. In a further modification, the tip of the tool is defined by two oblique flat end faces 64 (Fig. 8) which provide two radial tool edges 66 extending diametrally of the tool. The included angle between the end faces is preferably 140-160 degrees.
