958,341. Valve gear and fuel injection pumps for V-engines. MOTORENWORK CUNEWALDE VEB. Nov. 13, 1962, No. 42868/62. Heading F1B. In a V-engine a double injection pump 1, is located in the V-shaped space between each pair of cylinders and the body of the pump is almost entirely contained within the crankcasing 2, the cam followers 3, 3<SP>1</SP>, of the pump being acted upon directly by injection cams 5, 6, on the camshaft 4 operating the engine valves. The valve control cams 14 ... 17, Fig. 3, for a pair of cylinders 19, 20, are dispersed on opposite sides of the injection cams 5, 6, and the bearings for the cam-shaft are arranged between the cams associated with each two pairs of cylinders i.e. in a four cylinder engine the cam-shaft is only supported at its ends.
