[Also in Division G1] A pair of micro-switches has a control member movable in accordance with liquid level, said member engaging with adjustable clearance two arms of a tilting bridge having two further arms which in the neutral position of the bridge each rest in contact with the actuating member of one of the switches. The actuating members t, T of the switches m, M co-operate respectively with the arms 10, 11 of the bridge which is pivoted at 8. Also pivoted at 8 are two arms 12, 13, the upper ends 14, 15 of which are biased inwards by a spring 19. The spacing between the lower ends 20, 21 of the arms 12, 13 may be varied by pivoting a lever 18 about a pivot 22 on the bridge 7 so that the faces 16, 17 of the lever 18 act on ends 14, 15 of the arms 12, 13. The lever 18 carries a screw 25 movable in a slot 24 in bridge 7 to limit the movement of the lever. Switch m may control a pump motor for liquid supply, and the switch M an alarm device, at predetermined liquid levels. In order to prevent frequent operation of the switch m due to minor fluctuations of level, the bridge 7 is biased to the position corresponding to the " off " position of the switch, by a spring 27 bearing on an adjustable stop 28. The bridge is moved by a member (not shown) responding to the movement, e.g. of a float, and having a portion engaging between the ends 20, 21 of arms 12, 13.
