Heading B5N [Also in Division G2] A laminated photographic sheet material comprises a base layer of polyethylene terephthalate material and a layer of hydrophilic film material uniformly adhered thereto, the latter layer having a light-sensitive coating. The core layer may be sandwiched between two hydrophilic layers, which may be of regenerated cellulose or polyvinyl alcohol. The adhesive may be a polyether or thermosetting adhesive. The material may be made by leading the base material from a reel through a bath of adhesive, guiding it between doctoring means to regulate the retained adhesive on each face, thence through a drying chamber. A film of hydrophilic material from a supply reel is then brought into contact with each adhesive face and bonded to it by passage between pressure rollers and through a curing chamber. The light-sensitive material is applied subsequently, According to the Provisional Specification. the base layer may be of other film material, paper or cloth.
