Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate wrinkles and laminate the titled films by a method wherein the plurality of water-activatable films are provided with reaction to the shrinkage in width direction, dried while being guided along the longitudinal direction, then moistened and laminated together, and the laminate is applied with pressure by a roll press and dried.
CONSTITUTION: The water-activatable film 15 containing a large amount of water is unwound from a roll 16, dehydrated by rolls 17, guided onto the peripheral surface of a drying drum 19, closely contacted with the peripheral surface and heated so as to smooth out the wrinkles and to dry the film 15, which is then wound around a roll 21. Two dried films 15a, 15b are unwound from rolls 21, 22 and introduced in ply between the rolls 26, 27 of the roll press 25 provided with heating function. Immediately before the nipping by the roll press 25, one of the films 15a is moistened by the water sprayed from a moistening nozzle 30 so as to activate the films 15a, 15b. The activated films 15a, 15b are pressed and dried by the roll press 25, whereby the laminate is dried uniformly in both width direction and longitudinal direction. Accordingly, the films can be adhered to each other without wrinkles and with uniform adhesive strength.
