Abstract
953,982. Valves. SIDNEY FLAVEL & CO. Ltd. March 1, 1963 [March 3, 1962], No. 8320/62. Heading F2V. Gas is continuously supplied to a pilot burner 16 through a restriction 18 the pilot flame crossing a main burner 10 or a lateral orifice connected therewith. A further supply of gas is admitted to the pilot burner 16 through a pipe 19 leading from a time controlled valve, which additional supply causes the length of the pilot flame to increase sufficiently to heat the bi-metallic strip 14 controlling the actuation of a valve 11 in the gas supply to the main burner 10.
