Abstract

953,295. Projection screens. J. HOURDIAUX. Dec. 11, 1962, No. 46732/62. Heading G2J. A curved projection screen comprises a frame 2 of constant curvature on which are releasably secured rigid elements 1 of L-shaped cross-section having one flange la acting as a support and a matt light diffusing face 1b acting as a screen element, the juxtaposed elements being mutually parallel and normal to the projection axis. Curved cross-members 5 carry curved strips 4 on which are cemented flexible rubber bands 6. Steel rope 7 is suspended from elastic hooks 8 carried on strips 4 and each screen element engages the rope by notches 9, the frictional contact with bands 6 maintaining the element in position. Alternatively, the elements may be carried by distance pieces 10 whose notches 11 receive flanges 1a.
