953,211. Seals. J. MOOLENAARS. Nov. 16, 1960 [Dec. 1, 1959], No. 39302/60. Heading B6P. An identification tag or seal e.g. for poultry, comprises a bent metal strip 1 having a barbed hook 10 at one end and a circular opening at the other end through which the barb 9 can pass to enter a cap 2 integral with the strip 1, the opening being bounded by a substantially frustoconical strip portion 5 depressed towards the cap. The frusto-oonical portion is surrounded by an indentation 6 and the barbed hook is secured in position by transverse strips 11, 12 formed by slitting the strip 1 transversely, said strips 11, 12 being bent out of the plane of the strip 1 to form openings to receive a leg 13 of the barbed hook and finally pressed down to secure the leg 13 firmly in position.
