A limb 4 may be stepped, Fig. 1, or beaded as at 15 to accommodate a bead on the gasket sheet, Fig. 4. The bead may be externally concave, Fig. 3 (not shown) or the limb may embrace a portion of the edge which has been bent out of the gasket plane, Fig. 2 (not shown). The gasket sheet may be of steel.
