Abstract

952,369. Two-part couplings; direct connections between conductors. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Nov. 23. 1961 [Dec. 1, 1960], No. 41418/60. Addition to 811,989. Heading H2E. The connector of the parent Specification is modified in that the ears which secure leg 3 of each contact to the panel-like member 1 permit leg 3 a limited amount of free movement perpendicular to its axis. Portion 5a of ear 5 is slightly longer than the thickness of panel 1 and leg 3 extends forwardly at a small angle to the adjacent face of the panel so that it can flex about ear 6 which clamps it to the panel. The legs 2 of the contacts have lugs 7 or 9 alternately as described in Specification 843,652 for insertion into apertures in a second printed circuit panel to make contact with its circuit. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 843,652.
