951,303. Two-part couplings. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. (Standard Elektrik Lorenz A.G.). Oct. 11, 1962, No. 38577/62. Heading H2E. A strip of contact blades 2 connected to a printed circuit board as the plug element, comprises a strip of insulating material having comb-shaped recesses along the edge away from the board and a projection at each end of this edge 6 and 7 having an inclined portion on each projection 8 and 9 to facilitate alignment with the socket 10. The projections also prevent the contacts from being damaged by accidental contact with flat surfaces, Fig. 3 (not shown). A coding device for aligning the strip of contact blades before contact consists of a bar mounted parallel to the insulating strip and has a number of slots along it into which fit projections which are mounted on the socket housing, Fig. 2 (not shown).
