Carding engine bends are supported by an adjustable bracket provided with inclined surfaces that serve as abutments for adjusting screws. The adjustable bracket 22 may be a sliding fit in a guide slot 31 in a fixed bracket 20 into which adjusting screws 33, 35 are threaded and which is screwed to the main cylinder bend 21. A flexible bend 13 is carried by a stud 23 engaging in a slot 24 in the adjustable bracket 22 in a manner to allow movement longitudinally of the flexible bend during adjustment. Such an arrangement is suitable for supporting the end of the bend, no allowance for longitudinal movement need be made for supports centrally of a flexible bend or for back or front concentric bends.
