Abstract

An alloy of copper and 0.1-0.25% zirconium is used for the thermally and dynamically stressed current carrying parts of a dynamoelectric machine, the alloy being cold worked before being heat treated. Subsequent welding or soldering is carried out in such a way that the temperature of the majority of the part remains below a certain temperature, e.g. 600 DEG C., above which the heat resistance qualities are affected.
