[Also in Divisions D1 and F2] A solenoid-operated latch 72 for the loading door 14 of a drycleaning machine is biased by a spring 74 to the locking position but can be released by a cam member 66 pulled downwardly against a spring 69 when a solenoid 61 is energized. The solenoid 61 is energized through two switches connected in series, one switch 56 being closed by pulling on a spring- biased door-handle 50 and the other operated by a cam in a programme controller.
