Abstract

946,750. Printing apparatus. KENRICK & JEFFERSON Ltd. Jan. 9, 1961 [Jan. 20, 1960], No. 2035/60. Headings B6C and B6F. A numbering box 10 for use with a printing press where it is required to mark consecutive numbers on succeeding pieces of paper or at spaced positions on a web of paper incorporates a plurality of wheels 11, each having a series of marking elements 12 arranged around its circumference. The elements 12 are in the form of a series of spaced projections which may be of rectangular or circular cross-section, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). It is stated that clear impressions are thus obtained when printing on superimposed sheets interleaved with carbon paper. The marking elements may be incorporated in a typewriter according to the Provisional Specification.
