A machine for profiling pipe ends comprises a spindle 12 supporting a mandrel 10 for insertion into a pipe 11 and journalled in a sleeve 13 carrying a tool 15, a motor-driven worm meshing with a worm-wheel 16 splined on the sleeve, and manually-operated means 42 for feeding the sleeve. Rotation of the feed-screw 42 feeds the tool as it is rotated by the air motor 33. The tools may be replaced by others to cut a groove in the end-face of a flange.
