945,470. Master cylinder reservoirs. GIRLING Ltd. Dec. 31, 1959 [Jan. 6, 1959], No. 4373/63. Divided out of 945,469. Headings F2E and F2F. A sealed container 16 is clamped by flange 17 and nut 18 to a master cylinder reservoir 10 which has a tube 12 which pierces the container to release fluid to the reservoir via tube 12 and ports 14. The container, of thin metal or transparent thermo-plastic material, has a dome formed of three layers of material 19, 20, 21, the inner layers 19, 20 containing holes and the layer 21 being pierced after attachment of the container to reservoir 10 to permit liquid to flow to the reservoir. The container may be flexible so that it collapses as the liquid flows out.
