Abstract

945,129. Gas lighter filling valves. R. HUCK. Oct. 5, 1962 [Oct. 7, 1961], No. 37734/62. Heading F4F. [Also in Division F2] A filling valve for a gas lighter comprises a spring loaded valve body 20 co-operating through an elastic sealing disc 24 with a valve seat 13, and a filler tube 15 separate from the body 20 and guided in the bore 14 of an annular valve seat body 9 which is sealed in the valve housing 4 by means of a sealing ring 10. The filler tube 15 has a lateral discharge orifice 15a and a sealing ring 17 for a changing bottle, disposed between an end section 18 and a flange 16 of the tube. The valve seat body 9 is secured against the sealing ring 10 by means of a screwed bush 6. The valve housing 4 which is soldered to the lighter fuel tank 3 incorporates a guide 21 for the valve body 20 and a spring 22. The valve sealing disc 24 may be replaced by an annular seal, the bore of which receives the end of the filler tube 15.
