A two - part blow mould for synthetic plastics containers has a profile shell 2 of thin beryllium or beryllium alloy held in spaced relationship to cast alumium casing 1 by attachment plates 3, end plate 5 and end plate 6 with flared extension 8. Cooling water circulates through the enclosed space from inlet 10 to outlet 11. A calibrating blowing mandrel (Figs. 6 and 7, not shown) is also water cooled. Specification 944,615 is referred to.
