The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 944,502 but the claims are directed to a vehicle for travelling over a surface, and which in operation is supported above that surface on cushions of pressurised gas, provided with means for forming at least one primary cushion of pressurised gas and means for forming at least one secondary cushion surrounding or distributed around the periphery of said primary cushion and adapted to exert stabilizing forces on said vehicle.
