Abstract

941,283. Extruding net-like fabrics. PLASTIC TEXTILE ACCESSORIES Ltd. Feb. 16, 1960 [March 10, 1959], No. 8244/59. Heading B5A. In an extrusion machine wherein means are provided for imparting relative rotation to inner and outer dies, e.g. a net extruding machine, bearing means are provided between the interior walling of the extrusion chamber and a shaft extending therein so that there is communication between the plastic material supply and discharge sides of the bearing means. An outer die 4a is secured to the chamber walling 5 which is rotatably supported by bearings 8 in a lubricated two-piece casing 1, 2. The shaft 10 carries the inner die 4a secured to a two-piece member 11, 11a having the bearing means 12 therebetween. The bearing means 12 may be a phosphor-bronze bush with channels 12a in its periphery to allow passage of the plastic material or the corresponding bearing surface of the chamber walling 5 may be provided with by-pass holes or grooves. The walling 5 may have an insert to bear upon the means 12. Specifications 836,555, 836,556 and 925,657 are referred to.
