[Also in Division A4] A knock-down scaffolding is built up from identical frames 10 comprising parallel beams 12 and 14 spaced by the rigidly connecting rod 16 to which they are welded and by the U-shaped braces 24 and notches 28 on the inner faces of the ends of said beams which receive the beams of another frame 10 at rightangles to the first. The beams 12 and 14 each comprise a pair of spaced rods or tubes connected by welding at rod 16, at stops 18, and at the out turned flanges 20 of the braces 24. Each frame 10 may have its ends sprung apart as in Fig. I to allow notches 28 to engage the beams at adjacent frames, lugs 26 providing the necessary support against sliding. A T-junction is shown in Fig. 6 while other junctions are possible. The frames may be of metal or plastic construction, and may be used to form furniture.
