939,419. Sunshine roofs. W. F. COENEN. Nov. 15, 1961, No. 40909/61. Class 108(1). The hand-wheel 19 which operates a sliding roof is axially movable and in its inner position shown the hexagon 24 engages a similarly shaped hole in the disc 15 which carries the pins 16 for the espagnolette locking rods 17, 18. When withdrawn the hexagon 24 engages the centre of a wheel 28 secured to the cable drum on which the hood operating cable 8 is anchored. The wheel 28 may be toothed and be driven from a worm rotated by an electric motor and the worm housing may be pivoted to the mechanism to enable it to be disengaged from the wheel 28 when it is desired to operate the hand wheel 19 manually.
