935,922. Stabilizers for diazotype materials. GENERAL ANILIN & FILM CORPORATION. Sept. 22, 1961 [Nov. 16, 1960], No. 34076/61. Class 98 (2). One-component diazotype materials are stabilized by naphthalene mono- or di-sulphonic acids or alkali metal salts thereof unsubstituted in the naphthalene nucleus apart from sulphonic acid groups. Specified stabilizers are 2,7-, 2,6- and 1,5-naphthalene disulphonic acid, 1- and 2-naphthalene sulphonic acid and the sodium salts of these acids. The stabilizer may be coated together with the diazonium salt on to a support or a binder, e.g. sodium caseinate, and the stabilizer may first be coated on to a support which, is subsequently sensitized with the diazonium salt. The diazonium compound used in the examples is 4-N-ethyl-N-benzylaminobenzene diazonium zinc chloride. Aluminium silicate pigment may be incorporated in the binder-stabilizer coating.
