Abstract

934,111. Convoluted flexible hose. J. B. C. DU MONT. Dec. 27, 1961 [Feb. 24, 1961], No. 6960/61. Class 99(2). A convoluted or corrugated flexible hose of rubber or plastic has coupling bores at the bases 4, Fig. 1 of the convolutions and coupling bores at the apices 1 the larger coupling bore being 40% to 100% larger than the smaller bore. Small reverse convolutions 5, 6 Fig. 2 (not shown) may be provided in the coupling bores. In a modification, Fig. 3, three sizes of coupling bores are provided at A-A, B-B, C-C, giving an increase of approximately 70% between the largest and the smallest coupling bores. Shallow grooves 14 are moulded in the apices to indicate where the hose should be cut for the appropriate coupling bore to be exposed.
