Abstract

932,974. Magnetic core devices. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. May 23, 1961 [May 20, 1960], No. 18657/61. Class 38 (2). A gate circuit comprises a transfluxor whose core has a transmission hole S with transmission windings A, B, a plurality of control holes 1, 2, 3 each with at least one control winding 12, 21, 23, 32 and a premagnetizing means (another winding 11, 21, 31 or a permanent magnet) and a further control hole 4 with premagnetizing means 41. The premagnetizing means continuously saturate the flux path encircling each control hole, but the control windings are arranged so that a sufficient current will reverse the flux around that control hole. Trans nission is blocked when any two of the control holes 1, 2, 3, 4 have their encircling flux paths saturated in opposite directions. The Specification describes how such transfluxors may be used as " And," " Or," " Nor " and " Inhibitory " circuits, by suitable choice of the directions of premagnetization. The premagnetizing windings may be connected in series. Coincident currents may be used in two control windings linking the same control hole.
