[Also in Group XIII] Two or more grids are arranged below a tubular heat-exchanger 1 disposed above the core (not shown) of a nuclear reactor, the grids acting, in the event of a tube rupture in the heat-exchanger, to catch and deflect leakage water from the ruptured tube into an annular duct 8, hence preventing entry of such water into the reactor core. The grids shown comprise short tubes 7 extending through plates 5, 6, the tubes in one plate not being in alignment with those in the other plate. Alternatively, at least the upper plate may be merely a simple apertured plate.
