932,735. Glazing bars. HILLS (WEST BROMWICH) Ltd. Nov. 26, 1959 [Nov. 26, 1958], No. 38035/58. Class 20 (3). Inan inverted-T type glazing bar each of the two lateral faces of the stem 1 has two longitudinal ribs 8, 9, the upper face of the upper rib 8 and the lower face of the lower rib 9 having a groove formed therein and a resilient cover strip 14 has a channel section marginal zone 15 having lips 16, 17 on and along the internal surfaces of the sides which are sprung into engagement with respective grooves 8, 9 and the opposite longitudinal edge of the strip, which preferably ends in an upstanding flange 19, is urged into resilient abutment with the table-supported sheets 6. To dismantle the cover strip a wedging tool shown in chain line on the righthand side is inserted between the flange 19 and channel 15 and levered towards the stem 1, to disengage the lip 17. The flange 19 in the form of an inverted channel may house a resilient and waterproof cord projecting beyond the mouth of the flange.
