[Also in Group IX] A yarn guide e.g. for a braiding machine comprises a ceramic body 1 with a lateral guide portion including a pigtail 2 and an internally ribbed cylindrical opening 3 closed at one end to receive a slightly resilient bushing 5 in which engages a threaded metal post 6 so that it contacts the closed end of opening 3. The inner diameters of opening 3 and bushing 5 are preferably slightly smaller than the outer diameters of bushing 5 and post 6 respectively. Bushing 5 may be of nylon or fibre.
