Abstract
932,459. Pen nibs; reservoir pens. E. S. PERRY Ltd. Aug. 8, 1961 [Aug. 10, 1960], No. 27686/60. Class 146 (3). A nib for a reservoir pen comprises two limbs 2 in the form of rods and an integral connecting piece at one end forming a heel 1 which constitutes an ink inlet to the space between the limbs, the nib being fitted into a nib section for attachment to the pen, adjacent parallel faces of the limbs being shaped and positioned to form a capillary channel 4 connecting the ink inlet with writing tips formed at the ends of the limbs opposite the heel 1. The nib may be formed from stainless steel or gold. The nib body may be enclosed by a sleeve 7, e.g., of plastic or rubber to permit air venting of the reservoir 6. In a modification, Fig. 13 (not shown), the limbs 2 are of unequal length, the longer limb being split at 2a.
