Abstract

Injectable pharmaceutical compositions for the control of haemorrhage after labour comprise oxytocin and ergometrine, methyl ergometrine or physiologically acceptable salts thereof with organic or inorganic acids. The compositions preferably contain from about 0.4 to about 0.6 mg. of ergometrine or the equivalent per 5 I.U. of oxytoxin and have a pH of 3.2 \sB 03.
