Abstract
930,060. Push button assemblies. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. April 25, 1962 [July 17, 1961], No. 15707/62. Class 44. A door latch mechanism actuating device adapted to be mounted on a door panel 18 comprises a push button 21 slidably mounted in a housing 14, an operating rod 29 and means connecting the rod to the push button, said connecting means including adjustment means accessible through the push button for adjusting the effective length of said operating rod and push button. In one arrangement the adjustment means comprises a threaded portion 36 formed on the stem 24 of the rod 29 which is screwed into a nut 36 secured within a cavity 38 of the push button 21, the head 36 of which is accessible through an aperture formed in the push button 21. In a second arrangement the push button houses a rotatable sleeve nut through which the threaded end of the stem extends. In a further arrangement the stem is threaded directly into the base of the push button and its end provided with a socket wrench cavity which may be reached through an aperture 55 (Fig. 4, not shown) in the push button.
