Abstract

929,884. Constant current systems. STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO. Feb. 2, 1960 [April 6, 1959], No. 3640/60. Class 38 (4). In a constant current circuit whereby a load is connected across one member X 3 of a series L.C. circuit X 2 ,X 3 resonant at the supply frequency, a plurality of constant current values in the load may be obtained without variation of the resonant frequency by remaining determined increments X 1 of reactance from X 3 and reconnecting them across X 2 . A switching system is described in the Specification for reconnecting a plurality of capacitors in this way, which system is applicable to a 3-phase load and supply system.
