Abstract

929,771. Winding bobbins. MONSANTO CHEMICAL CO. March 19, 1962 [March 20, 1961], No. 10470/62. Class 120 (2). A bobbin holder 12 comprises a base 11 carrying a leg 14 to which is secured an arcuate support 20 for a bobbin 21 carrying a yarn package 22. The curvature of support 20 conforms to the inner surface of the bobbin 21 and the edges are curved at 26 to provide a firm support and access to the internal bore during withdrawal of the yarn, in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 2, from the stationary bobbin. A tapered flange 27 and the curved end guide the bobbin on to the support.
