926,131. Valves. FUNDITOR Ltd., and W. R. SPITTLE. July 31, 1959 [July 31, 1958], No. 24721/58. Class 135. A fluid-pressure control valve device comprises a body 1, 2, 3 formed with a first bore 4 which is adapted to be connected into a fluid conduit, and a second bore 10, these bores being interconnected at opposite ends by passages 5, 12, and 11, a one-way valve 7 being arranged to control the flow from inlet passage 5 through the first bore 4, and a doubleended valve piston 13 reciprocable in the second bore 10 and subject to the pressure difference across the one-way valve, this valve piston being operable to allow escape of fluid downstream of the one-way valve through a port 25 under reversed pressure conditions at the inlet and outlet, e.g. in a fluid-operated rock-crushing machine if excessive resistance to operation of the machine is encountered. Leakage from the inlet pressure end of the piston toward the other end is drained through a conection 23.
