926,085. Finishing fabrics. H. KRANTZ, and W. KRANTZ, [trading as H. KRANTZ SOHNE]. Feb. 26, 1962, No. 7457/62. Class 42 (2). [Also in Group XVI] Apparatus for correcting an arcuate tie of weft threads in woven fabrics or courses in knitted fabrics comprises a concave roller 10 and a convex roller 11 mounted relative to the moving fabric 1 so that either roller can be applied thereto. The fabric passes around guide rollers 2, 3, 4. The rollers 10, 11 are mounted between the ends of two-armed levers 8 mounted at opposite ends of the shaft 7 of the roller 3. When required, a pinion 13 drivable in either direction, rotates a gear 12 on the shaft 7 to cause the appropriate roller 10 or 11 to engage the fabric with the necessary pressure to correct a bow if the centre of the weft leads or lags behind, respectively, the ends thereof. The apparatus may be operated by apparatus for sensing the curvature of the bow.
