925,889. Ear plugs. L. U. SANTI. Aug. 11, 1961 [Aug. 26, 1960], No. 29088/61. Class 81 (2) An ear plug made from resilient material comprises a central stem 3 from which axially spaced baffle blades 4 extend, these having staggered apertures 5 providing a tortuous path from the orifice 2 in the external head member 1 to the interior of the ear. The apertures 5 may be replaced by cut-away portions at the periphery of the baffle discs. The stem and baffle arrangement may alternatively be made of a relatively rigid material and inserted in a resilient outer sleeve member, in which case the bore of the latter has an inwardlyprojecting shoulder slightly spaced from the end of the stem. The flexibility of the sleeve allows the stem to bear against the shoulder when the plug is being inserted, so as to facilitate this operation.
