Abstract
925,003. Tractor-trailer brake mechanisms. WESTINGHOUSE BREMSEN-G.m.b.H. July 6, 1961 [Aug. 27, 1960], No. 24474/61. Class 103 (1). The braking mechanism for a semi-trailer and tractor vehicle comprises a single regulating valve 2 mounted in the tractor and controlling in dependence upon the load the pneumatic brakes on the rear axle 9 of the tractor and those on the trailer axle 10 whereas those on the front axle 8 of the tractor are not regulated in accordance with the load on the vehicle. The valve 2 is located between a pedal-type brake valve 1 and the trailer brake valve 3 which is connected to the brake circuit of the rear axle 9. A single release valve 4 is arranged between the trailer brake valve 3 and the trailer control valve 5.
