Abstract
The pressure source is a tandem master cylinder (10). One brake circuit (14) connects the first chamber to a set of brake cylinders (16) on the front wheels (18). The second circuit (20) joins the second chamber to the cylinders (22) of the rear wheels (24). A pressure regulator (26) is in the second circuit and is proportional to vehicle load. An electrically operated valve (28) in the second circuit is in parallel with the regulating valve and is operated by the brake light switch. Front brake circuit failure automatically gives full pressure application to the rear brakes.
