A hand truck for carrying a bag 18 has a pair of brackets 12 secured to the frame member 2 and a longitudinally adjustable hook 15 so that whilst the weight of the bag 18 is carried by the toe plate 9 the strap 19 retains it in position. A second pair of brackets 13 and hook 17 will retain a further bag on the truck.
