A truck for manipulating automobile engines comprises inverted U-shaped frame members 4, pivoted at 6 to a wheeled base for angular movement under the control of toothed segments 7, 8. Straps 12, 13, which may be adjustable, are secured to the frame members and cause the buffers 16 on the frame members to engage the load when it is supported on the straps.
