Abstract

838,553. Portmanteaus. SINCLAIR, G. W. Sept. 26, 1958 [July 16, 1957], No. 22434/57. Class 133. A portmanteau comprises two compartments defined by frame members 3 provided with struts 4, one on either side of a gusset 5 having a stiffening member 6 to which is attached a handle 16. External compartments 9 are also provided with stiffening members and flaps 10 secured by fasteners 11. Tapes 13 attached to the member 6 on the inside of the portmanteau pass through holes in a free board 14, which is used to secure garments when the portmanteau is packed.
