Abstract
924,200. Positive clutches. A. M. WARN. Jan. 24, 1962 [July 17, 1961], No. 2645/62. Class 80 (2). A hub clutch for a vehicle with four-wheel drive comprises a sleeve 84 with outer and inner spur teeth, the former meshing with teeth 32 on the hub member 26 and the latter being engageable with teeth 14 on a sleeve 10 splined to the axle, by axial movement of the sleeve 84 consequent upon rotation of a manual control member 54 connected to an actuator sleeve 78 having a screw-thread connection 86 with the clutching sleeve 84. A detent 66 locks the member 54 in the clutch engaged and disengaged positions, and an indicator is provided on the outer face of the member to facilitate its adjustment.
