921,976. Ingot moulds. FOSECO TRADING A.G. June 8, 1961, No. 20824/61. Class 83 (1). A mould or a head box is provided with a lining layer of fibrous cellulosic material such as paper pulp, wood fibre or chips, and a refractory filler of a density of 0.7 or less, such as pearlite, vermiculite, kieselguhr, or furnace aggregate. A binder such as natural or synthetic resins, clay or alkali silicate may be added. The layer may be faced with an exothermic or refractory material, or both, and may be backed by an exothermic layer. Specification 878,301 is referred to.
