Abstract

920,423. Shovel excavators. W. A. DAWSON. Feb. 8, 1960, No. 4351/60. Class 68 (1). [Also in Group XXXII] In an excavator material dug up by a scoop or other excavating tool mounted at one end of a boom 8, is discharged on to a conveyer extending along the boom, which is reciprocably mounted on a vertically swingable jib 6, suitably carried by a turntable structure 2 mounted on the body 1 of the excavator. A second conveyer extends along the jib to receive and carry material from the first conveyer to a hopper formed about the axis 3 of the turntable, and discharging on to an upwardly inclined conveyer 15 swingable about said axis.
