919,981. Scaffolding. NORDQVIST, K. M. March 1, 1960 [March 2, 1959], No. 7231/60. Class 20 (2). Scaffolding comprises H or U section posts 1 arranged in pairs and having bars 3 welded across the flanges to form pockets 4 in which the downwardly directed ends of cross beams 9 connecting a pair of posts or other scaffolding members, are inserted. The pairs of posts are connected by rails 14 in Z-shaped brackets 11, each having a limb engaged in a pocket 4. For connecting one post on top of another the tops of the posts have blocks welded between the flanges and projecting upwards to engage in pockets in the lower end of another post. Footplates have projections engaging in pockets in the lower ends of the posts. For projecting parts of buildings the planking 30, Fig. 7, above the projecting part is supported by a bracket 23, 26 supported in pockets 4 in the outer posts 1. The inner ends 29 may engage pockets in the inner posts 1.
